Season 2, Episode 4: Elmer & Verne in: "Bilgewater Downs"

Written and Directed by Ryan Cassavaugh

It's time once again for everyone's favorite old-time dreamers: Elmer and Verne! With a little extra money in their bank account (for the first time), Bigfish convinces Elmer that it's time to invest in the Sport of Kings! Verne is not keen, and decides to partner with Mr. Willerby in remodeling the Ityl-Dew Hotel into The Carnegie-Hall-South Palladium Orpheum
Imperial Globe Theater For Acting and Such -- so they decide to split up on get-rich quick schemes! Before you know it, they'll face the wrath of the Appalachian Mafia, headed up by 'Ma' Brodie and her evil sons! It's hectic hillbilly farce that will make you guffaw!

Recorded live in the sweltering outdoors at Bozeman, Montana's Sweet Pea Festival on August 5, 2012! What you hear is what the audience heard with no overdubs and minimal post-production to try to make it comfortable to your ears! In this second season, we had not yet made the decision to have entirely analog effects, instead integrating analog effects supplemented by some digital sound work!

Featured cast: Keith Suta as Elmer Van Fleet and Arthur Gwinett; Ryan Cassavauh as Verne Peabody; Ryan Lawrence Flynn as Mr. Willerby and Bigfish; Sadie Cassavaugh as Ma Brodie and Ms. Godfrey; and Christian McDaniel Rumer Pyle, the Queen of Sheebee, Johnboy, Cobb and the Announcer!

Sound effects by Marya Cline and Wren Goodman!

Music by Chris Donohue!
